Back to biblicals

Mighty Afrophis

Perm of the Nile

Sought out the Peoples of the Sea

Amun smiles

At Pharoah's jammy dice

Back to Achillies Rampant for us, after a two year gap.  I had completed two more units of Egyptians, and Pharoah's host is looking a little more daunting.

The Egyptian Panzer Division

The scene, a border town being raided by the Egyptians for the sacred scrolls of Vectron

And since its a "Rescue" Pharoah goes down first.  We dont even know where the villains will appear from.

And Afrophis, our Pharoah, has taken a sacred Army Standard.  Amun vs Vectron, what could go wrong?

The Panzers roll

And here come the Sea Peoples.  Just back from Troy I think.

My basing really does make the Egyptian infantry look like Regulars.

And the lines start to close.

My mad Pharoah is baited into a wild charge trap

Even his activation roll says it all.

Turns out though Pharoah is indeed Mighty

And the Sea Peoples get a little flustered.

But those archers are powerful.

With time running out I get Pharoah back to a position he can't get himself into more trouble.

And the Egyptian archers start to prove their worth.

Pharoah fights and defeats the enemy leader.

The end game.  Really enjoyable.

A welcome return to Chariot Rampant.  It plays brilliantly!

Parker's Halt, the gunfight.

Parker's Halt, the gunfight at the railway station.

The rail station.  My mission is to burn it down.

And the Hero shot.  Righy to left;  Samuel L Deadshot, Dwaine "the Rock" Dibley, the Windy Kid and Walking Bear with his new Springfield heavy rifle.

And on support I gain a Mariachi band as henchmen.  Samuel l Deadshot also gets a rare 1 in a 1000 Winchester.

The Mariachi band close in on the station

And Samuel L. gets into the rocks. My shooting is dire though.  Every one of my characters has shock on them.

Six shots into that building, every one a one in the dice, but I miss the young School Marm too.

Windy tried to get close but is quickly down and out.

Samuel gets closer but I decided enough and my guys ride for the hills.

The close terrain and all of that cover didn't help but it was my useless dice that did for me.  Much jubilation among the outlaws.

Shootout in 'Els Bells.

 The Parker County War

Local vigilantes have been gathering under the name of the "Pan-handle gang."  This has nothing to do with the Texas Panhandle, but relates to an incident reported in the Jericho Gulch Chronicle.  Apparently Doc Harddick had to remove a pen handle from the rear orifice of Boss Boggs following a chuck wagon accident.

A group of retired Buffalo Soldiers is the gangs target, but they reckoned without the presence of former Sergeant Major Samuel L. Deadshot who has rallied the boys to his crew.

Word on the street has it that Poor old Consuela, an 80 year old former Nun in the Mexican village of Els Bells is the latest target of Hoss Boggs' affections.  Consuela is unusually reluctant.  The Buffalo Boys intend to rescue her.

(Doc Harddick's brother Roger is of course a local rancher and owner of the Slippery K.Y.)

Parker County Nevada

'Els Bells

Samuel L. Deadshot and his bro's form a line and walk slowly forward.

Slim Pickens charges across the street and discharges into the Panhandle boys.

And the Panhandle hang shoot poor Pedro dead.

Stampede!  The steers burst into town heading for Slim.  Walking Bear has to give up his sniping, although he has already thinned down the enemy.

Slim rescues Consuela from her hot date with Seymour Butts behind the church.

Slim then drags her across town away from the Panhandle boys.

And a gun battle erupts across poor Pedro's body.  Juanita the one toothed donkey looks on, unfazed.

The Windy Kid takes up position centre street behind the whiskey barrels.  For a Jumpy fellow he really keeps proving his worth.

Walking Bear downs another one.

Seymour shoots it out with a lurking Panhandle boy, downing him.

And Samuel L drives off the group facing him (although Windy did most of this)

The Stampede carries off the outhouse, as the Panhandle Gang ride for the hills.

Boss is the last one to go.  I bet Walking Bear gave him a wave to see him off.

Slim ended up abandoning Consuela, but he had a rare smile on his face!

The results;

Victory points

The Buffalo Boys +1
Seymour +3
Slim +2
Walking Bear +2

Seymour promoted to shootist, Trick shot skill.

Parker County, Nevada

 Jericho Gulch, Parker County, Nevada.

It's all kicking off!

Samuel l. Deadshot has been working a claim with his mated, panning for gold along the Jericho River.  Samuel has filed o  his claim atvtge local assay office and paid the necessary bribes but it seems like claim jumpers are about.

The claim

Terrain looked good I thought.

And the hero shot.  The windy Kid (Jumpy) Samuel L. Deadshot (Eagle eyed) and Dwaine "the Rock" Dibley, a brawler

Samuel comes on.  Fear that rifle!

And the Panhandle gang run on, set on Stealing my claim.

Dwaine hides in the outhouse with the claim.

My former 10th Cavalry guys mass around the shack.

And henchmen hired by the Panhandle gang come on behind me.

And the Panhandle boys close in

Samuel L does good work but Dwaine is shot to ribbons.

This guy (the boss?) Lurks suspiciously around the sh*thouse, peering inside apparently.

The Windy Kid stands off the henchmen, killing two.

Too late though.  The Panhandle gang make off with the deeds to the claim.  Not sure any if these guys could impersonate Samuel L. at the Assay office!
Hoss Boggs, Kimberley Clarke and Dai Engine.

And words from our winner, "Mighty fine work!"

Great game.
