The French Strategic Withdrawal: Invasion 1805

Newport, Sussex, and the French are withdrawing to their ships, the Signal Station having been successfully burnt down.  The cliff top march would see us back with the Naval Garrison left to guard the beach.

The French have added those little home comforts to Newport.  Madame Guillotine...

The British advance on the town in huge force.

The French on the other hand have taken casualties, and seem in no hurry to get home.

Bananas and his boys appear.  Keen to get shot at that lad.

The French Secondary Deployment point.  No sign of the French Commander however!
The French do use some tricks.  Barricades and a gun.

We have a crack at Bananas and his lads.  Just for old times sake.

And finally get some forces near the bridge

And once again its Pub o clock.  The French Commander it seems is on his way to Cyprus, and hands over his rusty sword and baguette to Pommefrittes.  Good Luck Mon Ami...
