Felix uses one of his nine.

The situation was dire.  Dubious, our noble Centurion had fallen, stabbed through the head, chest, arms... just about everywhere really. before falling into the river, being dragged under the bridge, stabbed again and then drowned.
No coming back from that.

From the rear ranks steps Felix Cattus, a man who licks his own privates (they have complained but he just keeps doing it)  our brave Optio takes command, just as the end of an act occurs.  We paused the game there.

Dubious fall...

Felix steps up, just as the Germans come screaming back in at us. Satchmo the trumpeter gives us a selection of his impromptu jamming

Titus swings his boys around.  Have the Germans charged into a trap?

But Felix falls.  His body trampled the first group goes down, the supports are over shocked.

With wild cries Vorsprung raises the vibrating sacred Wang.  He has killed two Roman Officers on that bridge.

And the Germans begin to swarm over the bridge.

Titus charges his Auxilia into the flanks and the Germans reel back

But Vorsprung gets his mojo back, and knocks the Auxilia into reverse.

And it's gets bloody

The German dice are mighty.

And the Auxilia reel back

Roman morale vanishes, and a wounded Titus slinks away through the marsh.

Not Rome's greatest day!
