After Kadesh. Tutt vs Pajamarama.

Kadesh, and Pharoah Tutt the Great claims victory over the Hittites of Pajamarama, yet strangely he is retreating before the Hittites advance.  Blocking the Egyptian's path are some scattered Hittite foot.

Get ready lads, here comes Pharoah!

My Egyptians

1 x Chariots 2 crew and bow @6

1 x Chariots 2 crew and bow @6

The Sherden Guard, armoured swordsmen @5

1 × Drilled Spear @4

1 x Archers Well supplied @4 ws

1 × Caananite Archers (Uriah of Ugarit)

Tutt turns out to be a rash wild charge type, not what you want in a chariot driving Maryanuu.

Then we tested the Omens.

Eagle high in the sky flies from the right, five god cards for the Hittites

After a deathly "Eyes of the Snake" roll Tutt makes a sacrifice and rolls 7, Patterns of oil on the water, he is feeling confident.

Unfortunately I immediately draw a joker and discover that the Elite well supplied Archers have used almost all of their arrows.  Hit only on a 6, we must have left the arrows in dead Hittites.

Look on my host ye mighty and Weep.  'Tis Tutt, Pharoah and God King.  Blue hat guy.

The Jokers come thick and fast.  There seem to have been a dozen in the deck!  Eventually we agreed to remove on play.

Shite dice all round

Joker,  flash flood, angry river god, bit no water on table...

Pajamarama fails to come on table.

Hittite Joker, 7 easy going granted by the gods.  PJ himself, who then arrives on table.

Tutt and his pet lion "Elton."

Pj then refuses to charge the rear of the Egyptian's spearmen.

Pj's archers refuse to come on table. He confesses to whipping his men.

PJ joker 4, oh bollocks, Pallas Athene breaks a wheel on a chariot.  Reduces move to 8.

PJ Replacement card 6 slings and arrows.  Chariots low on ammo.

All jokers removed from play

The Egyptians fail a few movement rolls and the line thins a little.

I mean... Really?

But the Hittites Gods did not hear them.

On comes Pajamarama

Over the top shot

The Egyptians are caught between two forces but those bows are powerful.

The Hittite chariots on the flank go down

The Egyptian chariots quickly move to dominate the rear

But my rash Pharoah gets stuck in.

The lion does its work and we send them back battered. Two men killed.  Only  the boost of Wilma of Wilusia saves them.

Even the Hittire archers, who finally arrive, can't deal with all of that Egyptian firepower

Must be that lion.

End game.  The Hittites have lost units, but came close to killing Tutt.

Pajamarama, Lord of Hattii, whips his horses away, swearing vengeance.
